# Discounts & Cashbacks

There are multiple ways to run discounts & cashbacks on CanCan. You can reward users based on:

* their purchase history on your channel
* their purchase history on other channels

Discounts & Cashbacks can be defined on specific products or on all products available on a specific channel. 

The main difference between discounts and cashbacks is the fact that discounts will reduce the price you buy a product at while cashbacks will give you back cash/credit on the amount you spent on a previously purchased product.
